oh i just don't know

hmmm. second date was OK. not great. not terrible. i just feel like at this point, if i'm not feeling pretty psyched after the second date, is it worth going much further? i'll have to think about it. the guy in question is away for a few days so i have some time. but my gut says...not so much.

I think you are experiencing the "ho-hum" doldrums that are internet dating...

...I found that I met a lot of people via the online service that I used who seemed 'compatable' via email and online, and even over the phone, and they were compatable with me, in a certain sense. Most of them would have made great friends. Unfortunately, that's the not expectation set when you meet someone for the express purpose of a "date" and internet dating leaves out that certain filter that you get when you first meet someone offline. You know, the wow factor, the pazzaz, the KA-Zing! That stuff.

think you might be right. it's good that i'm better at identifying people i'm able to have good first dates with, but if there isn't something really "there" after the second date, i know better than to pursue it any further...so it's back to the drawing board i suppose.
